Our Story
Modern family lives can be so busy these days, and with school, sport and social activities it can be hard to keep track of where everyone needs to be from week to week. Sure we have our phones and electronic devices, and there are those tacky fridge calendars, but it all seemed so disjointed. And how many scrap bits of paper clutter up the kitchen bench or dinning room table with shopping notes. Then there's that panicked cry rushing to leave the house, "has anyone seen my phone"! So as a family we decided to make a range of decorative, solid timber organizational boards that are rustic, stylish & versatile. Whilst also providing you with one character filled central hub for keeping track of life!
Hopefully reducing the clutter and looking good doing so...
Our Products
Hence The Planning Boards began.
1. We have a medium sized board that is perfect for any kitchen, family room or home office. This comes in an elegant contemporary solid white and a weathered rustic white finish for that coastal chic look. Each Planning Board has spot for a grocery list, an interchangeable magnetic/dry erase monthly planner, your mobile phone, a reading glasses ledge and spare key hooks.
2. The larger command centre Meal Planning Board with Monthly Planner, has the addition of multiple phone or bill holders and an acrylic/erasable weekly meal planning section. Perfect for juggling, "What's for Dinner"? or simply balancing the diet. And with multiple phone holders for the kids phones, you may even be able to do some old fashioned catch up at the table...phone free!
*All of our products are one of a kind, hand made and hand painted. For our rustic distressed look products, we use a chalk paint with a hard wax carnauba finish. For the solid white products, we use a water based enamel paint, with an indoor furniture clear coat to protect them. If you prefer a clear finish to the hard wax please advise when ordering, no stress.

Our Mission
At The Planning Boards, our mission is two fold & simple: to help create families a lovely and functional home with a unique, one of a kind Australian made & designed product. In doing so, we also hope to provide our kids with practical hands on exposure to the sales and marketing of a small business...but more importantly to give things a go in life!
